Ty's Huntsman

This is for you Ty. I know how much you wanted to sight a decent sized huntsman spider here in Sydney before you left but alas the only encounter was the little one hanging out in my car (much to my disgust)

So this baby was about 10cm in diameter with his legs stretched out. I wanted to get a photo with my hand next to it to give you a better idea of scale but he was too scarey. Sandy and I were sitting out on the balcony and he kamakasied down from the ceiling and was hanging out with us while we were getting ready for the party. They move really fast - check out the video footage!

To everyone who was there - thanks for a top night - it is one of those rare times that laughing never stops. Sandy and I cooked the biggest feast ever! It was awesome

SQUASH - what a game - what an injury!

Well Koolloos would have been very happy that I tore my calf muscle in our lastest squash showdown as I knew his game was getting a bit shabby, well that was my recollection of events anyway!

So presently I am out of action sitting in front of my computer with my leg in the air googling my current medical injury -

Aponeuroses (απο, "away" or "of", and νευρον, "sinew") are membranes separating muscles from each other. They have a shiny, whitish-silvery color, and are similar to tendons. So it seems that I have torn the membrane between the Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscles - hmmmm.

We still dont know what we're doing.
